There are a number of renewable technology options.
The appropriate choices depend on the client’s requirements and
available resources. The leading candidates include:
Wind:

Where
sufficient wind resources are available, modern wind turbines are
probably the lowest cost source of renewable energy available today.
Solar:

The
cost of solar technologies has decreased significantly in the last
few years and is likely to continue dropping. Where adequate
resources and incentives exist, solar has become very
economic.
Geothermal:
Availability
of low cost resources is critical, but if they exist in close
proximity to a site and can be economically accessed geothermal
systems can be very attractive.
Storage:
Electricity
storage technologies are rapidly converging on commercial
viability. Depending on the client’s needs, particularly for
non-grid-based systems, emerging storage technologies warrant
serious consideration.
Grid Connected Systems
Grid connected systems provide the client with the
opportunity to offset electricity from the grid and offer the most
flexibility in terms of integrating renewable systems.
Stand-Alone Systems
Rural/remote location systems with no grid connection
offer less flexibility in technology choices if there is a need for
firm power. The typical solution involves diesel backup
generation. If alternative storage technologies , i.e., pumped
hydro-electric are available and/or as alternative storage technologies
improve, diesel backup might be relegated to a minor role.
Post Installation Support
Electrical generation systems require attention,
monitoring to assure the system is functioning as intended and
operation and maintenance. ANT provides this support and will work
with the client to assure the system it designs and installs meet all
client expectations. Small and remote systems in particular can be
expensive to operate and maintain, but a system that is not working
properly is not meeting the client’s needs.

ANT-RED has
extensive contacts and excellent relations in the renewable
energy industry upon which it can draw to assure successful
completion of any project it undertakes.
