ANT is an information technology engineering services firm that specializes in design, develop, security, service and maintenance activities in support of our nation's defense. We are tribally owned Alaska Native Corporation (ANC), a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) and an 8(a) Certified Company. This status makes us eligible for special Federal acquisition preferences due to Native American status. The 8(a) contracting method eliminates the program manger's long complex procurement cycle and provides a timely, straight-forward and efficient contracting process. Adding the ANC ownership to an 8(a) firm removes all contract dollar limits on government contract sole-sourcing. Since 8(a) companies can subcontract portions of the contract and/or lease employees, an optimal team can be assembled for each project. ANT is qualified for the Department of Defense (DoD) Indian Subcontractor Initiatives Program. This program pays contractors a five percent bonus on subcontracting work given to an Alaskan Native or other tribally owned company. Capabilities
ANT provides customer site services supported by manufacturing, design, and engineering capability. These services encompass but are not limited to Information Technology/Systems, software development, engineering services, manufacturing, acoustics, sonar, signal processing, data mining, interoperability, real-time systems and intelligent systems.
Engineering & Analysis
ANT encompasses a well seasoned engineering team with expertise in developing complex system architectures. We are a multi disciplined, cross-functional engineering staff with proven simulation, prototyping, analysis, deign, integration, and test capabilities. Our use of mature, tailorable processes yields high quality, low cost products.
Mechanical Systems
ANT possesses the expertise in the development of complex mechanical systems for reliable use in hostile ocean surface and subsurface environments. We have proven experience from concept development through shore, shipboard or ocean bottom installation.
Acoustic Systems
ANT builds passive and active sonar systems in areas that include detection, surveillance, swimmer detection, ambient noise analysis, and acoustic propagation analysis. Additional capabilities included Calibration and Characterization, Modeling, Systems Analysis, At-Sea Data Collection, Passive Acoustic Monitoring, Active Target Identification, and Engineering Services. ANT has developed a sonar system that uses the full spectrum of frequencies across broad band bandwidth and combined this expanded bandwidth with digital signal processing and pattern classification technology.
Unmanned Systems
ANT is currently developing the Acoustic Glider for the Office of Naval Research. The attributes of the underwater gliders are high endurance (long range/loiter time), low speed, stealthy (quiet, low self noise/small acoustic cross-section), and sampling vertically and horizontally. ANT is also developing methods of long range detection of surface ships; autonomous behaviors for self preservation and mission optimization; and ruggedized underwater gliders.
