ANT is currently developing
the Acoustic Glider for the Office of Naval
Research (ONR). The attributes of the underwater
gliders are high endurance (long range/loiter
time), low speed, stealthy (quiet, low self
noise/small acoustic cross-section) and
sampling vertically and horizontally.
ANT is also developing
methods of long range detection of surface
ships, autonomous behaviors for self
preservation and mission optimization, and
ruggedized underwater gliders. The Glider
project is ever evolving into a more advance
unmanned system.
