Navy
Legacy Alarm
Concept
of Operations
- The intent of this Program Plan is to lay out the
operational concepts to task execution, contractor project team, construction, repair and replacement philosophy and long term logistics support of
Legacy Alarms.
Several priorities will guide the execution of this project. Specifically,
ANT’s goal is to reduce the overall security risk to Navy Region NorthWest
by addressing systems integration, obsolescence, adding
supportability (3-5 years) to existing and new systems
(spares, training and documentation), implementing
one Alarm OEM System per site.
|
|
- Additionally, bi-directional interface
implementation between sites and the Regional Dispatch
Center is crucial. Technical solutions need to be
balanced with excellent communications. ANT has
established a Legacy Alarm Project Integrated Project Team (LAP IPT) to enable consistent and well documented
communications, technical decisions, implementation issues. New and existing system selection and integration
will be based on an open architecture hardware and
software concept.
-
- Selection of systems will also consider
broader level guidance from CNIC, NAVFAC HQ and lessons
from other regions.
